Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not save a separate copy of those searches on our servers. When you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to answer the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems record ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregated logs help maintain the service and show which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Information
Technical and submitted data supports site operations, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor build individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links lead to government portals, Santa Barbara County and California offices, library collections, and outside search tools. Each destination applies its own privacy policy to data submitted there. The same is true for sponsored search results, which an outside company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process technical logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but otherwise do not share visitor data.
How We Secure Information
An encrypted connection serves the site, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated uses. Because there are no user accounts, we do not hold visitor passwords or account profiles.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
California residents may have rights to know, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California Privacy Rights Act, and related data-broker rules. Because we retain little, most requests involve our contact mailbox or technical logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Records held by the City of Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County, California agencies, or courts remain outside our control; a correction or removal request must go to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Any revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after a revision means that you accept the updated terms.
